These terms apply when you shop with Becker Candle Co. through this website, and by placing an order you agree to them, along with our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

Our candles

Every candle is hand-poured in small batches with soy wax, so slight differences in color, texture and the look of the wax top are normal, and they are part of what makes a handmade candle. Our photos show each candle as accurately as we can, but screens vary, so the color you see may differ a little from the candle in your hand. Scent descriptions are our honest impression of each fragrance, and how strong a scent feels in your home depends on the size of the candle and the size of the room.

Prices and orders

Prices are in US dollars and may change at any time, but the price you pay is always the price shown when you check out, and sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. Your order confirmation email means we received your order, and we accept it when we send your shipping confirmation. We may limit quantities, decline an order, or cancel one when a candle is out of stock, a price or description was listed in error, or we suspect fraud, and if we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund you in full. We ship within the United States only.

Payment

Payment is handled securely through Shopify's checkout, and we never see or store your full card number. By checking out, you confirm that the payment method you use is yours to use.

Shipping times, rates, damaged deliveries and returns are covered in our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, and both are part of these terms.

Candle safety

A candle is an open flame, and using it safely is up to you. Before you light it, trim the wick to about a quarter inch, and burn the candle on a heat-safe surface away from drafts, curtains, children, pets and anything that can catch fire. Never leave a burning candle unattended, do not burn it for more than 4 hours at a time, and stop using it when about half an inch of wax remains, because the glass can get too hot. Please follow the warning label on every candle, because Becker Candle Co. is not responsible for damage or injury caused by using a candle in a way that ignores the label or these instructions.

Your account and this site

You can shop as a guest or create an account, and you are responsible for keeping your login private. You agree not to misuse this site, copy its content, or interfere with the way it works.

Our content

The Becker Candle Co. name, logo, photos, product descriptions and everything else on this site belong to us, and you may not use them without our written permission. If you leave a review or send us a message, you give us permission to share it with other shoppers, and we may remove anything abusive or off topic.

Limits on our responsibility

We make every candle with care, but we provide this site and our products as they are, and to the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law gives you.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted here when you place your order is the one that applies to it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Mississippi.
